Texas License To Carry (LTC)

Even while Texas allows permit-less carry (open carry), training on and earning an LTC carries multiple benefits to gun owners. Such benefits include reciprocity in other states, access to more locations, a simplified purchase process, and increased legal protections.

Description:
This course delivers a curriculum covering the laws related to firearms and the use of deadly force; Handgun use and safety, including controlling and securing openly carried handguns; non-violent dispute resolution; and safe storage of firearms.

 Audience:
Anyone looking to learn about handgun basics and earning a License To Carry (LTC)

 Learning Outcomes:
Individuals will gain the basics of firearm safety, proper functioning and employment of firearms, steps to safely secure handguns, and non-violent dispute resolution techniques. Individuals are also required to show that they are skilled at shooting, through attendance at a handgun table of fire at a designated range.
